A Green Return

As the New York Jets head into the 2009 season the most important position remains unfilled.  Yes, they do have Kellen Clemens to fill the current void but he isn’t the answer.  The Jets lack a solid front that comes with a marginal receiving core and running game.

A pocket QB isn’t the answer for this team.  They need a scrambler, a runner, and a play-maker; and the answer for that isn’t in this year’s draft.  The name I’m about to say will be the recipient of major controversy in the coming months as his release from legal custody is just around the corner.

Yes – that’s right.  I’m talking about Mike Vick.  Vick is due to be released late spring early summer time frame and it will be up to the NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell, to reinstate him.

Once that decision is made, prepare for the onslaught of controversy and picket lines from animal rights activists around the country that won’t agree with the decision that I hope is made.

With that said – I’m a HUGE animal lover and hated what Vick did but he did and still is paying his debt to society.  Once he completes that term he should have all rights to return back to the NFL.  And if he did I would urge the J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS to go after him.
