The last exciting offseason offensive acquisition, in the past few weeks, was D.J. Hackett (WR) signing with the Panthers. Though his career has been somewhat injury plagued (due to an injury, then re-injury of the same ankle), Hackett is a stellar WR. He’s only 26 years old, tall (6’2″), has good speed, and excellent hands. Opposite of Steve Smith in Carolina, Hackett should see nice amount of targets and be a low end WR2 in 2008.
