Michael Turner (RB) will finally get his chance to be a starting RB in the NFL. In his previous three years in San Diego, he averaged 5.9, 6.3, and 4.5 yards/carry. Turner has that rare combination of power, speed, and vision. He consistently knows if, and when, to hit the hole, run outside, etc. In a new offensive scheme, he may struggle early on, but by the end of the 2008 season, Turner will be a top 15 RB in rushing yards and top 10 RB in rushing TDs.
The Falcons also acquired two defensive backs: Erik Coleman (S) and Von Hutchins (CB, S)
As a side note, it is a shame that Norwood will not be a starting RB in 2008. Just like the Niners now have, with Turner/Norwood, the Falcons will have one heck of a 1-2 punch at the RB position.
